Some sprucing up has been going on on Mackinac Island over the winter at the Grand Hotel.
It opens this Friday for its 130th season.
Hotel president Dan Musser says they have a new sushi restaurant, Sushi Grand, and they’ve replaced half of the hotel’s legendary front porch.

Musser says Mother’s Day weekend is sold out, but they have openings for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
