Road Load Restrictions Lift for One Week Starting Next Monday

Road load restrictions will be lifted in Baraga, Houghton, and Ontonagon Counties for one week. On February 19th, load restrictions for semi-truck trailers and cargo carriers will lift in Baraga, Houghton, and Ontonagon Counties and will be re-implemented on February 24th. County Road Commissions will have the discretion to review incoming forecasts and road conditions daily during the lift. Please contact your local county road commission. for any major hauling over roads so engineers can appropriately monitor road conditions. Additionally, the Road Commission strongly advises drivers to consider night hauling at this time.
