Root Beer Hauling Semi Tips Over On M-26

The root beer has been cleaned off of M-26.

A semi-truck was traveling northbound on M-26 just south of Painesdale yesterday morning.

At about 8:30am, the truck tipped over while apparently making the turn into the town.

M-26 was closed in both directions for several hours while crews worked to lift the truck back up and clean up the load that had spilled onto the roadway.

That load consisted of about 40 thousand pounds of root beer.

There has been no word as to the condition of the driver.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
