SEMCO Warns Against Deceptive Telemarketers

SEMCO Energy is warning its natural gas customers about possible deceptive telemarketing tactics that are targeting its customers.

The gas company has received numerous complaints from customers being called by people claiming to be with SEMCO Energy.

The telemarketers offer to put SEMCO customers on a special rate, asking for customer’s account number and other personal information.

SEMCO Energy is asking customers to be mindful about sharing their personal information over the phone.

SEMCO Energy customers have the option to buy their gas from an alternative gas supplier but they do not solicit customers to sign up for the Gas Customer Choice Program.

If you have any questions or would like to report a telemarketer, you can contact SEMCO Energy at 1-800-642-2019 or by e-mail at customer.service@semcoenergy.com.
