Seven Men Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Seven men have been arrested on prostitution-related charges in a sting operation in northern Menominee County.

Law enforcement agencies placed advertisements on websites used for prostitution. Thirty-two individuals responded to the website advertisements. Seven followed through, and met with an undercover detective who posed as a prostitute, to pay for services. All seven men were held at the Menominee County Jail. Their names will be released after their arraignments.

State Police officials say the goal is to reduce demand for sex trafficking in the Upper Peninsula, and they remind those responding to online advertisements that they may actually be corresponding with law enforcement.
