Snowmobile Accident Sends Man to Hospital

An elderly man is in a Duluth hospital after falling off his snowmobile in Ontonagon County Sunday. The Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police say the 70-year-old man from Lemont, Illinois was traveling eastbound on Trail No. 8 west of Ewen when he became separated from his snowmobile. The man was transported to Aspirus Grand View Hospital and later transferred to St. Mary’s in Duluth. Troopers say the accident remains under investigation.
