Stabenow Visits U.P. Small Businesses

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow is visiting the Upper Peninsula this week.

She met with businesses owners in Escanaba, Perkins, and Marquette on Tuesday.

As a senior member of the Finance committee, Stabenow says she helped extend important tax cuts for manufacturers, startups, and other small businesses.

This includes introducing the Small Business Access to Capital Act of 2015.

“So to be able to come in and actually see that folks are creating businesses and expanding businesses it’s really exciting for me.”

Stabenow recently introduced the Timber Innovation Act which helps accelerate research and development to drive a new market for forest products.
