Standard Definition of Veterans Should Make Getting Benefits Easier

A recently signed package of bills by Governor Rick Snyder has given a standard definition for benefit eligibilities for military veterans.

The bills update the Korean Veterans Military Pay Fund law and enact the same definition of a veteran throughout all Michigan laws using the version in federal law.

The bills should clarify and streamline the process for all veterans.
