Bill Would Compensate Those Wrongfully Incarcerated

The Michigan House has passed a bill to compensate wrongfully convicted inmates.

Under the terms of the bill, ex-inmates would receive $50,000 tax-free for each year of their wrongful incarceration, plus attorney fees.

Only four states have released more innocent prisoners than Michigan.
