Caspian Man Arrested For Making Meth

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) arrested a 22-year-old man from Caspian, Michigan on Monday for charges related to manufacturing meth.

The Caspian Police Department and detectives from UPSET initiated the investigation several weeks ago after obtaining evidence of manufacturing meth.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence located on Lennox Street in Caspian. The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team was utilized to execute the search warrant.

During a search of the residence detectives located numerous components used to manufacture meth along with finished meth product.

The homeowner, a 22-year-old Caspian man, was arrested at the residence and lodged at the Iron County Jail on several felony charges for manufacturing meth.

UPSET was assisted by Caspian Police Department, Iron County Sheriff’s department, Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Caspian/Gaastra Fire Department.
