Deadliest Catch Captain to Host Fundraisers for Beacon House

The following press release was issued by the Beacon House:

“The Wizard” Captain Keith Colburn to head up Fish & Chips Events on Lake Superior and Marquette Golf Club

June 19, 2019 – Captain Keith Colburn from the popular reality show, “The Deadliest Catch,” will be in Marquette on June 28, 29 & 30 to host fundraisers to help build the new Steve Mariucci Family Beacon House. Proceeds from all events will go toward the Beacon House Capital Campaign and a guest room will be named for the Deadliest Catch in Captain Keith Colburn’s honor, with the room décor reflecting the crab fisherman’s theme and photos. All participants in the event will also be recognized at the new Beacon House “Deadliest Catch” room.

On Friday, June 28, Capt. Colburn and friend Jay Feely will accompany several fishing boats to Stannard Rock for a friendly fishing adventure. That evening, a party at the Lake Superior Yacht Yard will include Captain Colburn, former NFL kicker Jay Feely, Steve Mariucci of the NFL Network, all the fishermen, as well as community members who come out to support the Beacon House. Elizabeth’s Chop House will be catering a Lake Trout and Grilled Chicken dinner at the boat house, with music and entertainment by Double Trouble Entertainment.

On Sunday, June 30, an 18-Hole Scramble will take place on Greywalls with Captain Colburn, Jay Feely and Steve Mariucci, followed by a BBQ Rib and Chicken Dinner at the Marquette Golf Club clubhouse.

The public is invited to participate in all the events but tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets to both dinners and the golf event are available online at www.upbeaconhouse.org or by calling 906-225-7100. The Stannard Rock fishing event has sold out.
