DNR Public Land Auction Begins

A DNR auction of surplus public land starts today with most parcels located in central/northern Lower Michigan and Upper Peninsula.

The auction, which goes until January 10, will feature 58 parcels mainly located in Baraga, Chippewa, Clare, Gladwin, Lake, Mackinac, Manistee, Midland, Newaygo, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Presque Isle, Roscommon and Wexford counties.

Properties range in size from less than an acre to 77 acres.

Many have been forested and have riverside or lake frontage and are well-suited for private ownership.
