Drunk Driving Crackdown Over Labor Day Weekend

There will be extra police patrols in Michigan over the holiday weekend.

Law enforcement officers from police departments, sheriff’s offices and the Michigan State Police will be on the lookout for impaired drivers and unbuckled motorists during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign will last through Monday.

Fifteen people died in twelve crashes during the Labor Day holiday period last year and nearly two-thirds of the holiday crashes involved alcohol.
