Free Quit Smoking Help Available

Trying to quit smoking? There could be some help available from the state.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is offering free nicotine patches, gum, or lozenges through September 30th.

Smokers can receive up to eight weeks of the products by calling the Michigan Tobacco Quitline at 800-QUIT-NOW (800-784-8669).

Enrollment is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Michigan Tobacco Quitline provides free telephone and online coaching.

More than 140,000 Michigan residents have used the Quitline or the online program to help them quit tobacco.
