Holiday Sales Expected To Be Strong

With Black Friday coming up later this week, Michigan retailers are expecting a small jump in sales this holiday season.

The Michigan Retailers Association says sales are expected to increase an average of 2 percent.

Across the state, nearly two-thirds of stores expect sales to rise over last year.

Michigan is expected to ring up nearly $20 billion in sales.

The President and CEO of the Retailers Association says lower unemployment and lower gas prices should help sales.
