House Cancels Sessions, as COVID Concerns Grow

Another participant in last Wednesday’s Michigan House committee election hearing has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

Attorney Jenna Ellis sat next to lead Trump Campaign counsel Rudy Giuliani at the four-hour session in Lansing. Neither wore masks.

Giuliani has since been hospitalized with the coronavirus.

Axios also reports that Ellis attended a White House Christmas party on Friday, and did not wear a mask.

The House has canceled sessions for the remainder of the week because of the potential COVID-19 exposure.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration has begun an investigation into working conditions at the state capitol.

MIOSHA officials told the Detroit Free Press that the case was opened after a complaint was received from a House staff member.

Additional details were not provided.
