The following press release was issued by MTEC Smartzone:

Marquette, Mich. – (May 30, 2019) – Innovate Marquette SmartZone is excited to host Return North, a professional careers reception in partnership with MTEC SmartZone, on Friday, July 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Landmark Inn Sky Room in downtown Marquette. Return North is a casual networking opportunity aiming to match Marquette and Houghton area businesses and companies searching for talent with candidates looking to take their careers back to the Upper Peninsula.

“The Upper Peninsula is growing and so are the career opportunities in the area,” says Innovate Marquette SmartZone CEO Ray Johnson. “Our goal with Return North is to showcase these opportunities by connecting local businesses and companies with talented individuals who are looking to find their way back to the U.P. We are providing a casual setting with beautiful views of Marquette for employers and potential employees to start conversations and make the connections.”

Unlike the typical setting of a job fair, Return North is a laid-back, social format with appetizers and beverages provided. Attendees can join the two SmartZones during their visit back home for the Independence Day celebrations to learn about growing employment opportunities throughout the Marquette and Houghton areas. Return North features employers in various fields looking for talented individuals to join their team here in the U.P.
