Iron-Belle Trail Complete

It’s a small part of a 2,000 mile trail stretching from Ironwood in the Upper Peninsula to Detroit.

The state Department of Natural Resources has completed a four mile stretch of the Iron Belle Trail in Bay County.

The trail is along an abandoned rail line.

The $630,000 cost was paid by a federal Transportation Alternative Program grant and the DNR.

The Iron Belle Trail was first announced four years ago.
