Legalize Marijuana Effort Blocked Again

Another setback for supporters of an effort to legalize marijuana in Michigan.

The state Supreme Court and the Appeals Court rejected appeals yesterday by the Michigan Cannabis Law Reform Committee which wants to make recreational use of marijuana legal.

The group turned in more than enough signatures, but the State Board of Canvassers ruled that a majority were gathered too late.

One attorney involved in the effort says he’s considering an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
