Man Arrested for Capitol Bomb Threat

A Charlotte man has been arrested for allegedly calling in a bomb threat yesterday at the Michigan Capitol.

The building was cleared for about two hours, until state police investigators determined there was no actual threat.

There were few people inside to begin with. The building was closed because the legislature is not in session.

Officials say 48-year-old Michael Varrone was taken into custody at his home yesterday afternoon, without incident. He could be formally charged today.
