MDHHS Announces New COVID-19 Rules

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services continues to fill in the vacuum created by the dissolution of Whitmer’s COVID-19 safety executive orders.

Yesterday, Director Robert Gordon directed school districts to post information about probable or confirmed school-associated COVID-19 diagnoses prominently on the district website within 24 hours.

Guidelines were also issued for residential care, congregate care and juvenile justice facilities.

Employees and residents must be informed about a positive COVID-19 test amongst residents or staff within 12 hours. Their legal guardians or health proxies must be notified within 24 hours.

Visitation restrictions also remain in place.
