Plow Truck Collides With Vehicle

A driver of a plow truck was issued a citation for Failing to Stop at a stop sign.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post responded to a two-vehicle personal injury crash involving a personal vehicle and Marquette County plow truck on Monday around 10:30am. The crash happened in Richmond Township in the town of Palmer.

39-year-old Kelly Minthorn of Palmer was traveling westbound on Lancaster Street when she struck the plow truck driven by 58-year-old James Chaperon of Ishpeming.

Minthorn was transported to Marquette General Hospital by EMS for further evaluation and received minor non-life threatening injuries from the crash. Chaperon was not injured.

Assisting on the crash was UP Health Systems and Richmond Twp. Fire Department.

Michigan State Police would like to remind drivers to exercise caution when entering intersections, highways and exiting driveways due to limited visibility from large snowbanks throughout Marquette County.
