Senate Passes Water Projects Act

Legislation worth $10 billion, with $100 million of that specified for Flint, has been passed by the U.S. Senate for water-related projects across the country.

Here’s Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan.

The Water Resources Development Act had strong bipartisan support, but has an uncertain future in the House.

The measure would authorize 29 projects in 18 states for dredging, flood control and other projects overseen by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
