Snyder Signs Bill To Ensure Clean Water

New legislation signed by Governor Rick Snyder says the state or federal government must provide alternative water supplies for those whose water is contaminated as a result of substances migrating from government owned property.

The legislation was introduced after groundwater and wells at the former Wurtsmith Air Base in Oscoda was contaminated.

In signing the legislation, the governor said every Michigander deserves access to a clean, safe supply of water for drinking and cooking.
