Tech Gifts Come With Security Concerns

Thinking of buying someone a tech gift for the holiday?

In this era of data breaches and identity theft, you might want to keep security in mind.

Mike Hanley is director of Duo Labs, an Ann Arbor advanced security and research and analytics team at Duo Security.

Hanley says the I-Phone is probably the most secure smart phone, but he says some of these home devices, like a webcam or remote device to lock your home, don’t necessarily have security built in from the start.

He cites the recent incident where hundreds of thousands of webcams were all working together that were internet enabled to take down large websites.
