Travel Warning Issued Due To Zika Virus

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is reminding travelers to take precautions against the mosquito-borne Zika Virus.

If woman are pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant they are urged to talk to their medical provider before making travel arrangements to any destination where the Zika Virus is being transmitted locally.

There are currently 62 confirmed cases of Zika in the state.

Two of the cases are pregnant women. All of the infections are travel related.
