Trump To Call For Revisit Of Fuel Economy Standards

President Donald Trump will visit Michigan to discuss job creation and automobile manufacturing.

The President is expected announce a restart of a review of vehicle fuel efficiency rules sought by the auto industry.

Trump is expected to visit Ypsilanti, a suburb of Detroit and meet with the chief executives of General Motors, Ford Motor Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Officials from Japanese and German automakers are also expected to attend.

This is the President’s first trip to Michigan since winning the November election.

Trump ended his presidential campaign in the early morning hours of Election Day, Nov. 8, with a rally at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.

Protesters will greet Trump today on his visit, carrying signs about immigration, women’s rights and healthcare.

Nancy Jones of Huntington Woods says she’s very worried about the proposed healthcare reform, a day after a Congressional Budget office study revealed the reform could cost 24 million their healthcare coverage.

Jones says Obamacare helped her friend whose husband suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.

Pro Trump supporters are expected as well.
