Study Says Spanking Does More Harm Than Good

Should parents spank their children if they misbehave? Experts at the University of Michigan have 50 years of research.

The conclusion — U of M professor Andrew Grogan-Kaylor — says it’s almost unanimous that spanking children has long-term negative effects — such as mental health problems and aggression.
