Troopers were called out at 6:30 a.m. to the Bates/Gaastra Road, just north of Gaastra. An 18-year-old woman reported that she had been running when a man attacked her. She was able to fight him off, and escape.

The suspect is a white male, 5’8”, 220 pounds, mid-20’s, with light short red hair, and freckles and moles on his face. He was driving a silver passenger car, possibly a Ford.
