The Cost Of Going To Work

A new report out this morning says just going to work costs people more than $3,000 a year.

CareerBuilder says the average amount of money people spend to go to work is $276 a month.

That includes paying for gas, dropping kids off at day care, grabbing a cup of coffee and buying lunch.

Half of those surveyed said they buy coffee before work, but most spend less than $10 a week.

While most workers say they bring their lunch to work, half of employees that buy their lunch spend $25 or more a week.
