MLB – Tigers
The Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds were rained out in the Queen City last night. No make-up date has been announced.

The Tigers open a series against the Yankees in New York tonight. Justin Verlander will pitch against Adam Warren. Hear the first pitch at 7:05 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Designated hitter Victor Martinez is scheduled to be brought off the disabled list in time for tonight’s game. He’s missed the past month dealing with complications from off-season knee surgery. Tyler Collins has been sent back to Toledo to make room.

The Milwaukee Brewers spotted the Kansas City Royals an early 3-0 lead, and wound up losing 3-2. Jimmy Nelson gave up two in the first, and one in the second, and was touched for 11 hits over five innings. He took the loss.

The Brewers open a series at Colorado tonight. Taylor Jungmann will start against Jorge De La Rosa.

Lions Waive Bentley
The Detroit Lions have waived cornerback Bill Bentley. Bentley was their third-round draft choice in 2012, but his career was hampered by injuries. He had one year remaining on his contract.
