U.P. Rest Areas Finally Open

U.P. Rest Areas Finally Open – May 23, 2014 – Todd VanDyke
All 32 of the Michigan Department of Transportation roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula are now open for the summer. U.P. roadside parks usually open in mid- to late April. All of those openings were delayed this year because of lingering snow and cold weather. Most parks reopened May 12th. The remainder opened this week.
