U-S Congressman Expects U.S. Lawmakers Would Support Helping France

One congressman from Michigan says he thinks U.S. lawmakers will be receptive to France if the country asks for help in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

U.S. Representative Mike Bishop says he expects his colleagues would be willing to assist the French if needed. However, he says, the U.S. can’t go it alone, but can provide resources in terms of intelligence on Syria and the surrounding area.

Bishop also criticized NATO for not reacting to the attacks on Paris.

He says it’s not doing its job.

The Islamic extremist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for Friday’s terrorist attacks, in which 129 people were killed and hundreds of other injured.
