Upcoming Bridge Closures This Week

The next series of bridge closures are now known.

Two-hour closures of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge have been scheduled for 2-4 a.m. Tuesday February 24^th, Wednesday the 25^th, Friday the 27^th and Saturday the 28^th.

You will not be able to cross the bridge during these closures.

Additional closures will be scheduled at a later date.

The contractor for the Michigan Department of Transportation will be lowering some of the balance chains on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, part of ongoing necessary maintenance work.

Snowmobile traffic on the lower bridge deck will not be affected by these closures.
