Vertin Gallery Gets Ready For Christmas With Santa, Friday & Saturday

Vertin Gallery Christmas WindowJoin The Vertin Gallery for a magical traditional holiday week-end as Santa arrives this Friday in Historic downtown Calumet. He will be taking your wishlist Friday from 5-7 Friday and 11-1 Saturday at the Vertin Family Art and Reading Nook. Enjoys sleigh rides provided by Main Street Calumet and shopping in the warm comfortable atmosphere your whole family will enjoy.

Featured artist of the month is Kate Langdon. Wife, mother, grandmother, and watercolor artist.” I enjoy painting a variety of subjects, depending on what “feels right” at the moment. After painting for over thirty years, mostly for gift-giving, in the past few years I have begun painting several times a week, becoming more intrigued by color, light and movement…more aware and more appreciative of the world around us. My hope is to bring more of this awareness to all who view my work.”

Featured artists include metal sculptures and natural photography by Dave Walli, watercolor reflections from artist Clarence Fisher, and gorgeous jewelry by Pam Hecht and Gustavo Bourdiue. Holiday centerpieces adorned with antique elements are created for your holiday home.

Giving Tuesday kickoff includes a The Angel Tree gift sponsorship, a canned food drive, sales from select vintage items, and Crocodile Style scarves lovingly made by our generous artist Gerri Klein. All of this benefit New Beginnings Angel Mission of Calumet~ a non-profit serving the needs of many with food, clothing, meals, and household items at no charge.

Antiques, jewelry, vintage clothes, and gifts from local artists and collectors will be featured including vintage, modern, industrial chic, mid-century modern and classic retail items available for the style minded shopper. We’re all decked out in red and ready for the holidays with one of a kind gifts, gorgeous art, and stunning ideas for your home .
