Governor Rick Snyder is strongly hinting that he may veto legislation to prevent minors from buying electronic cigarettes because he does not think it would go far enough. He says he’s had issues with the bill so it’s going to get special attention. The governor and others have said the legislature should instead have approved a bill that simply treated E-cigarettes the same as tobacco. Critics of that idea say it’s a move to also tax E-cigarettes the same way as cigarettes, which they believe would be wrong for Michigan.
