Work-Release Walk-Off Receives More Jail Time

A man who walked away from work release in Houghton County will spend an additional six months in jail. 27-year-old Kevin Anderson was sentenced Monday in Circuit Court. He pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted escape from a misdemeanor jail sentence. Anderson was two weeks into a 30-day jail sentence when he walked into the woods at the Houghton County Airport earlier this month.
