Obituary: Bobby Royce

Bobby Royce, 70, a resident of Lake Linden passed away at his home in Lake Linden on Monday February 24, 2020.

He was born on January 14, 1950 a son of the late Tom and Irene Hamway.
He graduated from Hartland High School. Following school Bobby was drafted into the U.S. Army serving honorably during the Vietnam War. During the war he was wounded during the conflict that lead to his disability.
On January 6, 1975 he was united in marriage to Linda Crosby.
Locally Bobby worked as a mechanic and as a taxi cab driver for various cab companies in the area.
He loved the Copper Country and all the outdoor activities that go with living in the U.P: hiking, camping, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and attending the Pow Wow’s.

Bobby loved to make people laugh and was always the jokester of the group.

Step Children: David Smith of Illinois
Jeffrey Smith of Lake Linden
Kimberly Smith of Calumet

Grandchildren: Tessa Royce, Georgia Royce, Virginia Royce, Anna Royce, Tasha Smith, Scott Smith, Justine Smith, Austin Smith, Dorothy Smith, Alyssa Smith, Nathan Smith

6 Great Grandchildren.

Brothers: Ron Hyaitt, Rick Royce, Bill Hamway, Marty Hamway

Sisters: Lana Harrington, Stella Scott

Graveside services with military honors conducted by the Copper Country Veterans Association  will be held on Saturday June 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the veterans section of Lake View Cemetery. 

The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
