Obituary: Glenn John Klobuchar

Glenn John Klobuchar , 79, of Rice Lake Road near Lake Linden, passed away unexpectedly at home, on April 27, 2022.

He was born on April 25, 1943, a son of John and Germaine (Jolly) Klobuchar.  He attended Sacred Heart and Calumet Schools.  He worked as a chef at Michigan Tech for 27 years.

He was married to Patricia Dulong in 1963.

Glenn was a musician and played in a local band.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Rice Lake Sportsmans Club.  He also was interested in cars and enjoyed snowmobiles; he had been a member of the Hill and Gully Riders Club.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and his son-Glenn Shawn Klobuchar.

He is survived by: sisters and brothers-Charlene (Gerry) Lokojarvi, Keido (Joanne) Klobuchar, Robin Mallet, and Candace (Jeff) Mudrock, special friends-Ellie Sturvist, Joanie (Tony) Dupuis, and Elaine (John Laitinen) Dulong; along with his former brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Pastor Bucky Beach to officiate.  The visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
