KC Rantanen, age 33 of Baraga, MI passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse, MI.
She was born February 17, 1987 in L’Anse, daughter of Paula Rantanen and Eugene Jermac. KC worked at the Ojibwa Casino Hotel as a front desk clerk, and also completed CNA classes. She was a member of the KBIC.
Surviving are her children Nykolas, Nathan, and Eugene Velmer of Baraga; siblings, Lizz (Marty) Curtis of Baraga, Teri Loonsfoot of L’Anse, Eugene Rantanen of L’Anse, John Jermac of Rochester, MN, Shelleigh Holzheuer of Sault Ste marie, MI, Craig (Angelique) Jermac of Rochester, MN; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11th at 5:00 p.m. at KBIC Zeba Hall with Rev. Nate Reed officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A feast will follow the service at the Zeba Hall. Burial will be in the Assinins Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
