Obituary: Leslie W. Bohto

Leslie W. Bohto of Elo, MI was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on June 10, 2021.

Leslie was born on March 26, 1954 to Ralph (Kelly) Bohto and Hannah Redlich, also of Elo. Leslie was the proud father of Brian Bohto Elo and Kathryn Bohto, Miranda Bohto and Sophia Bohto of Sutton, MA. In the early 1970’s Leslie moved to Detroit and became a lifetime member of Ironworker’s Building Trade Union. His career began there at Local Union 25 in Detroit and later moved to the east coast where he retired from Local 7 out of Boston, MA. Leslie was a loving father and friend who helped any person in need for his entire life. His ability as a hunter and fisherman was well known, but he believed his greatest accomplishment to be his children.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents Kelly and Hannah as well as siblings Spencer Bohto, Dale Bohto, Carol Bohto and Sigrid Bohto.
He is survived by siblings Clayton Bohto of Crystal Falls, Anita Bohto of Hancock, Leona Bohto of Houghton, Donald Bohto of Elo, Johanna Paakola of Askel, Karen Manninen of Tapiola, August Bohto of Baltic, Eddie Bohto of Elo and Carl Redlich Jr of Rindge, NH his grandchildren Brian and Kayla Bohto among a host of nieces and nephews.

Leslie was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements for Leslie are pending and will be announced by the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse.
