Obituary: Lucas A. Easterling

Lucas Easterling, son, grandson, brother, uncle and beloved friend, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was 21 years old.

Lucas loved a lot – classic films and music, video games, playing instruments, and his time in band, JROTC and Raiders at Calumet High School. But if you asked anyone, they’d say Lucas was sweet, kind, caring and filled with so much love.

He always had the perfect quote from The Office.

His jokes never fell flat (even when he thought they did).

If there was a fly in the room, it’d land in his food.

He was happiest during family time, trying to convince us all to play Monopoly.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Ronald Easterling and the best dog ever Otis.
He is survived by:
His parents: Ross and Pauline Easterling of Copper City, MI
His brothers: Seth (Brenda) Harjala of Seattle, WA
Garett (Claire) Easterling of Oahu, HI
His sister: Kendra Joy (Tomas) Kotila of Hancock, MI
His nephews: Milo and baby boy Kotila
Paternal grandma: M. Dawn Easterling (Doug Linn) of Pinckney, MI
Maternal grandparents: Arthur & Joan Lasanen of Calumet, MI
He was a member of the Laurium Shining Light Church.
