Obituary: Margaret M. Yeo

Margaret M. Yeo, 94 passed away at her home in Laurium on December 11^th 2023 with her family at her bedside. She was born in Laurium on July 31, 1929 to George and Irene Beaton. Margaret attended the Calumet Public Schools, she then went to work for the old Thurner’s Bakery in Calumet. On December 12, 1953 she married Leonard D. Yeo, Jr of Calumet. They made their home in Laurium. Margaret was a member of the Laurium United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Surviving are her four children, two sons Dale of Copper Harbor, David (Mary) of Laurium, and two daughters, Cheryl and Mary both of Laurium. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Michael, Megan, and Matthew Yeo, and Tyler and Hannah Rautio. Three great-grandsons, Dawson, Julian and Kellen Yeo also survive. At the request of the deceased there will be no services. Family committal will be in the spring of 2024 in the Lake View Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home is serving the family.
