Obituary: Pauline Despot

Calumet – Pauline Despot, 97, passed away on Thursday, January 10th at the Lighthouse at Hubbell.

She was born in Calumet on October 2, 1923, a daughter of Ugo and Lena Cherubini.  She was married to Joseph Despot in 1943, he preceded her in death in 2003.

Pauline was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.  She is survived by her daughters Donna McLaughlin of Centennial, Colorado, and Cyndi Wium of Meriden, CT, and a son Joseph Despot of Taylor, MI, six grandchildren Tracy, Erin, Nikki, Matt, Kris and Marc and nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Marissa, Sydney, Kaden, Skylar, Vinnie, Bryn, Finn and Kennedi, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, January 14th at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul the Apostle Church with Rev. Fr. Gracious Pullmoottil to officiate.  Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home on Sunday, January 13th from 1:00 to 4:00pm with a vigil service at 4:00.
