Obituary: Randolph Schulze

As received from the Memorial Chapel & Plowe Funeral Homes:

Randolph M. Schulze, 70, a resident of Chassell passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at his home.

He was born on July 24, 1951, in Hancock, MI, a son of the late Heinz and Gloria (Maki) Schulze.

Randy was raised by Onkalo’s Corner and was a graduate of the Houghton High School.

Following high school, Randy worked at Haas Clothing and some of the area bakeries and in the maintenance department for Isle Royal National Park concessions. Retiring after over 30 years of service to the island.

Mr. Schulze was a talented artist with sketching, watercolor painting.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Rick and niece Terri Louise.

Surviving are:
-His brother: Marty (Tammy) Schulze of Mesa, AZ
-His sisters: Vicki Schulze of Chassell
-Valeri Schulze of Chassell
-His sister-in-law: Mary Ann Schulze Lahti of Hancock
-Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

As requested, a private graveside service for Randy will be held later this spring in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range.
