MLB: Tigers Prepare for Jays
The Tigers were off Monday, and open a home set against the Blue Jays tonight. Anibal Sanchez will face Drew Hutchison. Hear the first pitch at 7:08 on AM 1400, WCCY.

Brewers Upend Twins
Matt Garza pitched shutout ball into the seventh inning, as the Brewers defeated the Twins 6-2 Monday night. Garza struck out eight, and scattered six hits. Mark Reynolds and Jonathan Lucroy homered.

The Brewers host the Twins again tonight. Yovani Gallardo will start against Samuel Deduno.

Bower Set to Become New Pistons’ GM
Several media sources are reporting that former New Orleans general manager Jeff Bower will become the new general manager of the Detroit Pistons. Bower spent last season as the head coach at Marist University. The school confirmed that he resigned from that position last evening. Bower spent 15 years with the Hornets… including two terms as general manager. He was in charge when Hurricane Katrina forced the team to relocate to Oklahoma City. As general manager, Bower will report to President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Stan Van Gundy… handling the business side of team operations.

Mangone to Receive Bradshaw Guts Award
Dan Mangone will receive this year’s Dave Bradshaw award for long-term service to the sport of Guts Frisbee. Mangone owns Discovering the World… a prominent retailer of flying discs. The USA Guts Board of Directors credits Mangone with safeguarding the mold that’s used to produce the Professional Model Frisbee. All of the Frisbees used in Guts competition are made and distributed by Discovering the World… which is located in Buena Park, California. Mangone will receive the award during the 57th Annual Coca Cola International Frisbee Tournament… which will be held July 5th and 6th in Calumet.
