Adames’ Late Homer Lifts Brewers – Sunday Sports Wrap

In NBA tournament play last night…
• The Bucks edged the nets 115-111 in overtime. Milwaukee wins that second-round series 4-3.

• The the 76ers entertain the Hawks. That second-round series is tied 3-3.
• The Suns host the Clippers in the first game of the Western Conference finals.

In the Stanley Cup semifinals last evening…
• The Islanders held off the Lightning 3-2. That set is tied 2-2.

Tonight…
• The Canadiens entertain the Golden Knights. Montreal leads that set 2-1.

MLB

The Detroit Tigers fell to the Los Angeles Angels 8-3 last night. Wily Peralta gave up five runs over five innings in his first start for the Tigers, and took the loss. Daz Cameron and Jonathan Schoop homered for Detroit.

The Tigers conclude that series against the Angels in Los Angeles this afternoon. Casey Mize will start against Dylan Bundy. Coverage will begin at 3:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Before last night’s game, the Tigers placed Niko Goodrum on the disabled list with an injured finger he suffered in Friday night’s game. Isaac Parades has been called back up from Toledo to fill in. Detroit also sent outfielder Derek Hill to the Lakeland Flying Tigers for a rehab assignment.

Willy Adames’ two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies last evening. Adrian Houser struggled through six innings, giving up five runs on nine hits. He left with the Crew trailing 5-3, but Milwaukee got one back in the seventh when Adames doubled, and scored on a single by Avisaíl García. Luis Urías’ single in the top of the ninth set up Adames’ game-winning shot.

The Brewers visit the Rockies again this afternoon. Eric Lauer will start against Chi Chi González.
