Baraga Girls Win Bay Battle – Friday Sports Wrap

In high school hockey last night, the Houghton game against Kingsford was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

In hockey tonight…
– Calumet hosts Escanaba.
– The Wisigan Cup Tournament begins at the SDC. Negaunee will face Merrill in the opening game at 6:00, and Jeffers will play Tomahawk in the nightcap. Tomorrow, Negaunee will face off with Tomahawk at noon, and Jeffers will play Merrill.

In high school girls basketball last night…
– Baraga defeated L’Anse 66-44.
– The Hancock at Lake Linden-Hubbell game was postponed to January 29th.
– The Ontonagon game against Wakefield-Marenisco was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.
– The Ewen-Trout Creek contest against Bessemer was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

In boys hoops last evening…
– The Houghton at Calumet game was postponed to January 31st.
– The Watersmeet at Dollar Bay-Tamarack City contest was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

On the boys schedule tonight (weather permitting)…
– Hancock welcomes Ontonagon (Ontonagon schools are closed).
– Chassell travels to Bessemer (Bessemer schools are closed).
– L’Anse journeys to Gwinn (Gwinn schools are closed).
– Baraga hosts Republic-Michigamme.
– Dollar Bay-Tamarack City tips off at Lake Linden-Hubbell. Our broadcast will begin around 7:00 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.

Finlandia
The Finlandia University men’s hockey team will host Trine University tonight, and Adrian College tomorrow. Our broadcast coverage will begin tonight at 6:55, and tomorrow at 2:55, on 99.3 The Lift, and 993TheLift.com.

The Finlandia women’s hockey team hosts Northland College tomorrow evening at 7:00, and Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

The Lions men’s basketball team plays at Lawrence Tech tonight, and Siena Heights University on Sunday.

The Finlandia women’s basketball team visits Albion College this evening.

MTU/NMU
The Michigan Tech hockey team skates at Alaska-Anchorage tonight and tomorrow night.

The Northern Michigan University hockey team entertains Minnesota State tonight and tomorrow night.

Both Michigan Tech basketball teams will play at Northern Michigan University tomorrow. The women’s game tips off at 11:00, and the men’s contest at 1:00.

GLHL
The Portage Lake Pioneers will entertain the Mosinee Papermakers tonight at 7:30 at Dee Stadium. The Calumet Wolverines will host the Papermakers tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Colosseum.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons Pistons visit the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Pregame coverage begins at 8:05 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings are off until February 1st because of the NHL All-Star break.

NFL
The NFL Pro Bowl kicks off Sunday afternoon at 3:00. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
