Miguel Cabrera blasted his second homer of the season. Starter Gregory Soto was charged with five runs before he was chased in the fourth inning. Buck Farmer got the win in relief.

The Tigers play the Mets in New York again this afternoon. Ryan Carpenter has been called back up to start against Jason Vargas. Pregame coverage will begin at 3:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Freddy Peralta took the loss in relief, after giving up single runs in the sixth and seventh. Christian Yelich became the first major-leaguer to hit 20 home runs this season. He also became the fastest player in Milwaukee history to reach the mark. Orlando Arcia also hit one out.

The Brewers host the Phillies again this afternoon. Jhoulys Chacín will pitch against Jake Arrieta.

After more than a year on the injured list, the Brewers activated starter Jimmy Nelson yesterday. He’s been assigned to Triple-A San Antonio, where he’ll continue working his way back from a major shoulder injury.
