Finlandia
A late comeback by the Finlandia University men’s basketball team fell short, as they lost 75-63 at Northland College last night. The Lions trailed by 17 in the first half. They closed the gap to five with 12 minutes remaining, but couldn’t keep the momentum going. Tristan Johnston let Finlandia with 16 points. Brandon Robinette added 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

MTU/NMU
The Michigan Tech volleyball team opens play in the NCAA tournament tonight. The eighth-seeded Huskies will face top seeded Lewis University at 8:30. Lewis is hosting the regional in Romeoville, Illinois.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball schedule begins tonight. Michigan Tech entertains Saginaw Valley State. The women’s game tips off at 5:30, and the men’s contest at 7:30 at the SDC.

Both Northern Michigan University teams open their conference schedule at home against Northwood.

Former MTU hockey standout John Scott will make his acting debut on television tonight. Scott will portray a vilified hockey player in an episode of S.W.A.T. on CBS. The show airs at 10:00. After spending four seasons with the Huskies, Scott went on to play for seven NHL teams. He was little-known until his surprise selection to the 2016 Pacific Division All-Star Team. He became a celebrity after he was named the game’s MVP.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons ripped up the Phoenix Suns 131-107 last night. Detroit took control early, and never let up. Reggie Jackson led the attack with 23 points. The Pistons visit the Washington Wizards tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 7:00 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings entertain the Montreal Canadiens tonight. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, pregame coverage will begin at 7:10 on KBear 102.3.

NFL
In tonight’s NFL contest, Washington plays at Dallas. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift. Please have your picks in this week’s Wolf Pro Football Challenge turned in by noon today at one of our sponsors.
